VB.NET Developer

Job Summary

Blue Cow Software was founded in 2004 and specializes in a suite of software solutions designed for the fuel oil and propane industry.

We are seeking a full-time, experienced developer to join our .NET development team.

As a member of our development team, you would collaborate with other developers, the QA team and customers to design, develop and implement software solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

Your primary role would be to be a VB.NET developer for one of our Windows Forms applications. You would be responsible to develop, test, document and maintain this application.

You will work on both existing functionality as well as new enhancements to the product and would work closely with the product manager to ensure we are delivering a product that exceeds our customer’s expectations.

We also develop applications using C#, ASP.NET and Xamarin so you have the opportunity to work on those applications as well.

You are required to work in our Lynnfield, MA office.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with VB.NET and .NET framework
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server including stored procedures, replication, SSIS and ancillary technologies
  • Great attention to detail
  • Be able to find creative solutions to unique and sometimes complex problems
  • Ability to works well with a team, yet operate autonomously
  • A passion for building and delivering high quality products in a timely manner
  • Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Account Manager

Account Manager Job Summary

Blue Cow Software was founded in 2004 and specializes in a suite of software solutions designed for the fuel oil and propane industry.

We are seeking a full-time, proven Account Manager to join our sales team.

As a member of our sales team, you would collaborate with our sales team, marketing team and Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Generate and qualify new prospects

Create value based sales presentations to demonstrate our functionality to prospective customers

Maintains key customer relationships

Responsible for meeting sales goals

Identify and maintain excellent customer relationships

Make sales calls to new and existing customers to sell our existing product suite

Work with Marketing to promote and achieve company goals

Work with Marketing to conduct market research and customer surveys

Develop and contribute to presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients

Represent Blue Cow Software at industry tradeshows and industry meetings

Monitor competition and have input with product development

 

We are looking for someone that is a self-motivated and team focused individual that will communicate progress to the upper level of management on a weekly basis.

You will be required to travel as needed, based on the job and any upcoming customer outreach programs.
